Noise Abatement
Bowlby & Associates, Inc., offers expert assistance in transportation and community noise analysis and mitigation, and transportation air quality assessment. Our nationwide clients include federal, state and local agencies, and the private sector, ranging from homeowners to large corporations. We also develop and teach courses on transportation noise.

We have worked for state DOTs or toll authorities in Tennessee, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, North and South Carolina, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, Michigan, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, California, Montana, and Washington.

Training
Training development clients include the National Highway Institute (NHI 3-day Highway Traffic Noise course), USDOT (interactive TNM Trainer CD), and New York State DOT. We also teach our own TNM course, including sessions for the state DOTs in California, Georgia, Indiana, and Washington.

Awards
We received an American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee 2006 Engineering Excellence Honor Award for our study on Tennessee DOT’s Type II Noise Barrier Needs Assessment and Program Development.
